Plant and seed management
The task of the plant and seed management department of RMK is to grow high-quality forest plants for planting in the state forest. Mainly, pine seedlings and spruce seedlings are grown, to a lesser extent also birch seedlings and seedlings of other deciduous trees.RMK grows forest plants in greenhouses and open field nurseries. On average, 10 million pines, 10 million spruces, and 3 million birches and other hardwoods are ready for planting per year.
RMK nurserys are located all over Estonia: Iisakus, Kullenga, Maranal, Purila, Reius, Rulli, Räpina and Tartu.
