Sights

The erratic boulder called “Kalevipoeg’s throw stone”, used to be known as Prossa giant boulder. The migmatite and biotite gneiss rock is among the largest erratic boulders in Jõgeva County, measuring 9 m x7 m and 9 m x2.3 m, its perimeter is 24.7 m, and it is typologically grouped under giant boulders.

Navigation instructions : Drive 12 km from Jõgeva towards Tartu to Pikkjärve village. Turn left towards Sääsküla and drive 1.5 km. Head towards Luua and pass the Sääsküla village, drive 300 m and turn right. Turn right at the roadside sign “Kalevipoja lingukivi”, drive ca 100 m, and arrive at the recreation site.
