05.05.2008 - Forestry related photo exhibition to be opened at the National Library of Estonia 10.10

On Wednesday, 7 May, at 5 pm, the Chairman of Board of the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) Aigar Kallas will open a photo exhibition entitled “90 Years of Forestry in the Republic of Estonia” in the gallery on the 6th floor.
The exhibition will be introduced by Krista Keedus, Head of Sagadi Forest Centre, and guitar player Jorma Puusaag will make music.

The exhibition presents ten stands with photos. The exhibition was compiled by the employees of the Sagadi Forest Centre of RMK and designed by Helle Väärsi and Mari Kreintaal. A third of the photos have been taken by the long-term RMK nature photographer Jüri Pere, the rest of the photos originate from the collections of Sagadi Forest Museum. The author of the texts is the early deceased Peeter Reintal who had worked at Sagadi Forest Museum.

The photo exhibition is part of the agenda of the 16th forest week and will be open until 21 May.
