02.04.2007 - State forest management centre and large companies sign a cooperation memorandum for conducing forest planting bees 29.09
On 2 April at 15.00, the State Forest Management Centre (RMK) and managers of Estonian large companies sign a cooperation memorandum to ensure successful performance of the forest planting campaign dedicated to the 50th jubilee of the European Union.
The objective of the parties related to the memorandum is to ensure active participation in forest planting and awareness of the general public thereof. The memorandum will be signed by RMK, EMT, Tallink, Elisa and OMX Tallinn.
“I am very pleased that our initiative in Estonia has been joined by large companies whose employees and clients can give their contribution among others by planting a new forest to Estonia’s good reputation in the European Union,” said Ülo Viilup, the chairman of the Board of RMK.
The forest planting campaign under the name of Greenwave will start on 14 April. The campaign will be organised by RMK and registration is open between 2-20 April at the website www.eu50.ee .
