09.03.2007 - This year’s Forestry Vision Conference to be held in Tartu 29.09
The annual Forestry Vision Conference, organized within the framework of Forest Week, will be held this year on 20 April, in Tartu.
In addition to the usual evaluation of the situation and future perspectives, this year’s conference will also touch upon trends in timber use, perspectives of wood energy, the role of innovation in forestry, and the expected condition of the environment in the year 2030.
Representatives include the director of the SEI Tallinn Centre Valdur Lahtvee, Kaido Kukk from the wood-processing company UPM-Kymmene, Asko Lõhmus from the Estonian Ornithological Society, forestry consultant Petri Vasara (consultation company Pöyry OY, Finland), and RMK Development Manager Andres Onemar.
