ISO 14001

RMK has developed an environmental management system that complies with the international ISO 14001 standard.

An environmental management system is part of an organisation’s overall management system, which includes the division of labour, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources necessary to develop, implement and measure environmental policy.

RMK acquired the ISO 14001 certificate on February 1, 2002, and it is valid until December 19, 2025. The certificate can then be extended.

ISO 9001

A quality management system, like an environmental management system, is part of the overall management of an organisation, but it focuses specifically on ensuring customer satisfaction.

RMK acquired the ISO 9001 certificate on December 20, 2010, and it is valid until December 19, 2025. The certificate can then be extended.

PEFC

The PEFC is an international non-profit forest certification programme that brings together nearly 50 national certification schemes. In Estonia, the PEFC is represented by the Estonian Forest Certification Council. The general objective of the Estonian forest certification scheme is to contribute to the implementation of the principles of sustainable forestry in Estonia.

RMK has held a PEFC certificate since November 29, 2010, and it is valid until November 28, 2025.

FSC

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), an international non-profit forest certification organisation, has developed principles and criteria for sustainable forest management to assess the economic, social, and environmental aspects of a forest owner’s activities.

The FSC logo stands for products that contain timber from well-managed forests. RMK has been FSC-certified since February 1, 2002. As a result of the recertification carried out in 2021, the validity of RMK’s FSC certificate was extended until January 31, 2027.
