Kärgandi campfire site is located in a beautiful open area in the middle of diverse forests. The forest landscape with a very varied relief around the campfire site (Selgise Mountains) is well suited for walking on your own and picking berries and mushrooms in autumn. The campfire site is a possible resting place on the Selgise cycle path, the road leading to it has moody curves and ups and downs.
Sights
The alternating terrain of the Selgise hills, diverse forests, the Padakõrve red wood ant population nearby.
Hiking options
About 500 m from the campfire site runs the Selgise cycling trail.
Camping
Maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 10.
Amenities
Information board, picnic table with shelter, fire ring with barbecue grill, benches, woodshed with sleeping loft, composting toilet

Navigation instructions : Drive 8 km on Tartu–Jõhvi road to Aovere. Turn right towards Kallaste and drive 12 km. Turn left in Matjama village and drive 4.8 km along the gravel road up to the junction. Choose the right branch of the road and drive 4.4 km, turn right at the RMK sign. Follow the sign and drive 500 m along the forest road to the campfire site.
