Kassinurme campfire site
Kassinurme campfire site is at Vaiga-Kassinurme hillfort. The site is one of the oldest sacred places in Estonia. This is the favourite place for history lovers, where ancient war games are organised, old folk customs are revived and holidays of the folk calendar are celebrated. A fragment of the ancient fort has been restored, there are several information boards.
Water
There is a pond in the area where you can take non-potable water.
Hiking options
The campfire site is on the RMK Peraküla-Aegviidu-Ähijärve hiking route. Visitors can also walk the Kassinurme nature trails.
Camping
Tent camping is allowed on the entire territory of the hill fort.
Amenities
Table and benches with shelter, fire rings, firewood shelter and dry toilet, restored fragment of the ancient hill fort.
Parking
It is not possible to drive right to the campfire site. Parking area for max 100 cars is in front of the entrance to the former hill fort.

Campfire sites have been established at the initiative of Jõgeva Forest Society.
Restrictions
Camping and making campfire is allowed in designated places only. The campfire sites are located in the limited management zone of Kassinurme Hill Fort protection area.
