Rumpo peninsula, with its junipers of varying density and age, is home to unique and rare lichen communities. Notably, it is the only place in Estonia where Flavocetraria is found. Lichens are sensitive to trampling! The hiking trail leads from the village to the tip of the peninsula. The trail passes through a grazing area and partially crosses private land. The trail is primarily an out-and-back type of trail, with a small detour in the middle. Platforms on the side of the trail overlook the bays and islets of Hullo and Sviby.
Sights
A view of the Hullo and Sviby bays, rare lichen communities characteristic of tundra, migration and nesting place of water and coastal birds.
Amenities
The trail runs along surface path and has information boards. There are 3 observation decks (2.7 m high) with benches.

One of the most captivating places on the Vormsi Island is the Huitberg limestone outcrop in the middle of a spruce forest, in the centre of the island. This more than 400 million years old coral reef smoothed by glacial abrasion has formed from calcareous exoskeletons of animals living in the shallow tropical seas during the Ordovician. On the outcrop, where it is not covered with moss, you can admire fossils or rare protected ferns growing in limestone cavities. The trail starts by Suuremõisa and is marked with signposts and an information board.

The shingle beach in the western part of the island is rich in fossils. Being open to storm waves from the sea, the coastline is changing and because of the constant movement of the surface, vegetation here is in constant state of formation and evolution. The beach boasts a lighthouse built in 1864, and young calcareous alvars with a thin soil layer further away from the sea.
