Take a tree only from where it has no hope of growing tall:

Trees may be taken from 2–3 meters from the edge of the road.

Spruce may be taken from the ditch edge to help keep it clear.

Make sure the chosen tree’s top is at least 3 meters below the power line.

Young trees remain in the shadow of old trees, where there is not enough light or space for them.

In young growths, we grow the trees of the future. You can recognize a young growths by the fact that the trees are regularly tended and mostly of the same height.

In protected areas, we preserve nature. The ecosystem there develops on its own, without human interference.

The state forests, where you can go to find your Christmas tree, are marked in dark green on the map.

Protected areas and areas, where Christmas trees may not be taken, are marked in brown.

Private forests are marked in light green. You may cut a spruce there only by agreement with the owner.

Power lines are marked as blue lines.

If you like, you may also use the forest register map to find a state forest. Read more HERE.

You can buy Christmas trees until 31 December. For information about Christmas trees, please call +372 676 7500 or email kuuseke@rmk.ee on working days from 9:00 to 16:30.
