The Elistvere study trail is closed for reconstruction. The reconstruction works will take place from January to the end of June 2025.
The observation tower at the end of the study trail offers a magnificent view of Lake Elistvere. The tower also has information boards introducing the birds living on the lake. The study trail can be accessed during the opening hours of Elistvere Animal Park, visiting the animal park is subject to a fee.

Parking area at the Animal Park for about 30 cars

7 m high wooden observation tower, 1 bench at the top of the tower, roof on top, boardwalk
Biocommunities at the lakeside, the bird-rich Lake Elistvere.

Navigation instructions : Drive 12 km from Tartu towards Jõgeva, then turn right (sign "Elistvere loomapark 10") and drive into Elistvere village. When coming from Tallinn: drive to Jõgeva, then towards Tartu up to Tabivere. Turn left there (sign "Elistvere loomapark 6") and drive into Elistvere village. Start in the Animal Park behind the lynx's enclosure.
