Ida-Viru County, Peipsi põhjaranniku Recreation Area
Located in Karjamaa Village, in Alutaguse Rural Municipality. The camping area is located parallel to Lake Peipus. A nice location protected from the lake’s winds, yet only 100 metres away from the beautiful sandy beach and dunes providing shelter from the wind. The height of the dunes formed during the retreat of Lake Peipus is mostly 5 ̶ 8 m, here on the Alajõgi River up to 20 m.
Camping
Maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 21.
Amenities
10 fireplaces, dry toilet, water well, 7 shelters at the campsite. Suitable for organizing public events, enough space for 150 people
Motorised vehicle traffic is prohibited outside roads and paths within 200 m shore protection zone of Lake Peipus. Campfires can be made only in designated sites. Please refer to the traffic instructions and regulations upon driving in.
