Käsmu hiking trail (15 km)
The hiking trail encircles Lahemaa’s smallest peninsula (area approx. 10 km2), 10 km of which runs directly along the coast. Starting at the northern tip of the peninsula, the trail runs along the coast to Palganee, then continues along the western shore to Lake Käsmu, before returning to the village via the forest trail.
During the first third of the hike, you should take the opportunity to find two granite boulders – Meremunk and Metsamunk. The forest trail runs along the rocky shoreline of Eru Bay, to the high bank. Only 1,500 years and 200 metres of coastline separate Lake Käsmu from the sea.
This trail is ideal for those who enjoy long walks on the edge of the sea and the forest.
