Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
The cycling trail runs on the lands of Noarootsi and Nõva. It is possible to take the shorter track of 32 km or the longer one, 68 km. The trail goes along different types of road (tarmac, gravel or dirt roads). You will see the new densely populated area around Spithami – Põõsaspea and experience the tranquil rhythm of life and the Swedish atmosphere of Rooslepa, you will be on your own with the forest and the rocks on lonely forest tracks. The cycling trail starts at the RMK Nõva Visitor Centre.
Parking
Parking for 2 buses, 15 cars.
Amenities
The trail is also
passable by car. Go towards the Spithami peninsula in the west, then along
forest roads to Dirhami, drive through Rooslepa village (breccias) and Tuksi
village. There the trail turns into the forest and goes through Saunamaa to the
Veskijõe River. On the main road the trail takes a turn to the south and heads
towards Küremaa.
Sights
There are numerous
erratic boulders and breccias from the Neugrund meteorite crater along the
trail.
