Koolmajärve campfire site

Announcement!

The Agriculture and Food Board warns about the spread of avian influenza. Please stay away from dead birds outdoors and ensure that your pets do not come into contact with them.
NB! If you find a dead bird, do not touch it or move it anywhere! Please report it to the Agriculture and Food Board by calling 605 4767 or 1247.

The campfire site is situated at Lake Koolmajärve. Tent camping is not allowed. The lake is one of the darkest black-water lakes in the middle of the pine forest.

Parking

Parking area for 4–5 cars.

Amenities

Fire ring with a grill, firewood shelter, dry toilet, parking area.

Restrictions

The campfire site is situated in Kuulmajärve Landscape Protection Area. Further information can be obtained from the Environmental Board +372 662 5999, info@keskkonnaamet.ee

Navigation instructions : Drive on Räpina–Võru road, turn right at Leevi urban community (if coming from Räpina). Drive about 4 km and after Koolma village follow the sign “Koolmajärve lõkkekoht” to the left. Drive another 1 km and arrive at the campfire site.
