Kõrtsi-Tõramaa campfire site
Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
Due to the renovation of the Soomaa National Park Visitor Centre, making campfire is temporarily not possible. However, it is still possible to have a picnic. The nearest campfire sites are Tõramaa wooded meadow campfire site, Muinasküla campfire site, and Meiekose campfire sites.
The Kõrtsi-Tõramaa campfire site is located next to the Soomaa National Park visitor centre at the start of the Kopraraja trail. Hikers on the Oandu-Aegviidu-Ikla trail, as well as other adventurers and nature lovers, can pitch their tents on the grass here. There is a car park with soil that can withstand the weight of large caravans and camper vans. The campfire site’s amenities are being renovated alongside the visitor centre, and work is expected to be completed in August 2025. In the meantime, drinking water is available from the information point, and you can wash your hands in the Tõramaa River like real hikers do.
