Luite hiking trail (4.4 km)
Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.

The
trail is marked with (yellow) rectangle blazes on trees and yellow RMK ribbons
tied around trees, observation tower. The hiking trail passes the Kauksi
campfire site.

ridges (shifting dunes) and vegetation, dune oaks of different age and shapes,
the Rannapungerja River.
Additional Information
- The trail starts at Visitor Centre of Alutaguse National Park and leads along the shore of Lake Peipus to the mouth of the Rannapungerja River. If you start at the Kauksi campfire site, the circular trail can be passed as a 4.4 km loop.
- The trail can be passed on skis and snowshoes.

Restrictions
Shore
protection zone is 200 m; motorised vehicle traffic is prohibited outside roads
and paths; campfires can be made only in designated sites.
