Meiekose oak forest hut
Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
Tamme forest hut is located on the bank of the Raudna River under a big oak-tree. It is possible to have a picnic or camp at the campfire site or use the forest hut for accommodation.

Meiekose and Ingatsi study trails are a few kilometres from the forest hut.
Camping
Maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 5.
Amenities
Forest hut, fire ring with barbecue grill, firewood shelter, dry toilet, information board. The forest hut has no heating .
Parking
Parking area for 5 cars.

When coming from Tartu or Viljandi, drive along Tartu-Viljandi-Pärnu road to the settlement of Kõpu. After passing the cemetery, turn right to the Kõpu–Jõesuu road. Drive 27 km to the bridge across the Raudna River, drive across the river and 300 m to the sign directing you to Karuskose. It is 600 m from there to Meiekose Tamme campfire site.
