At Metsavenna (Forest Brother’s) campfire site it is possible to imagine yourself back to the period when lots of people were forced to live in the forest. Fortunately, now we do not have to hide the smoke from the campfire, yet fire safety has to be constantly observed and before you leave, it would be good to bring a bucket of water from the nearby Saarjõgi River and pour it on glowing ashes. The nearby monument was erected by the Estonian Scout Association to commemorate the past events. Hikers can go to the Saarjõgi study trail, which may take up to 4 hours to go through.

Navigation instructions : On Imavere–Viljandi road, 31 km from Imavere turn towards Vändra and drive 11.3 km to the sign “Jälevere 4 km”. Follow the sign to the right and drive 9 km through Jälevere to the centre of Tõrvaaugu village, where the sign “Türi 23 km” directs to the left. Drive towards Türi to the Rassi bus stop (about 2.6 km), and follow the sign “Saeveski metsaonn” to the left. Drive about 1.6 km, and then follow the sign “Metsavenna lõkkekoht 0,1 km” to the right. When coming from the direction of Türi, find the sign “Rassi 19 km”. At the Rassi bus stop turn right towards Saeveski and drive 1.6 km. When coming from Vändra, drive 22 km along Vändra–Suure-Jaani road and then turn left towards Saeveski forest hut. Drive 4.6 km and turn right, drive straight ahead to the road fork, keep right and continue ahead for 2.8 km to the sign to Metsavenna campfire site.
