Oksa granary forest hut
Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
You can enjoy a picnic and camp next to the historical Oksa forest keeper’s granary. For the undemanding hiker, the cosy old granary offers shelter, providing a place to rest in case of rainy weather or fatigue. Hikers on the Oandu-Aegviidu-Ikla hiking trail can leave their wet tents to drain here and take shelter in the granary, with its sturdy roof and walls, instead. This is especially pleasant in the case of strong winds, when tent walls tend to flap.
