The forest hut stands on the shore of the artificial lake of Pähni, and has served the interests of hikers, holiday-makers, and nature-lovers for ten years already. Pähni nature study trail, which starts at Pähni Nature Centre and is 1.5 km in length, passes by near the forest hut.

Pähni nature study trail (1,5 km), Tõrvandu forest study trail, RMK hiking trail Piusa-Pähni section and Pähni-Ähijärve section passes near the forest hut.
Camping
Maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 15.
Amenities
In addition to the hexagonal forest hut with benches in it, there is a shelter with table and benches, campfire ring, outdoor fireplace, woodshed with sleeping loft, and dry toilet.

Tap water during the opening time of the Pähni Visitor Centre.

Navigation instructions : On Võru–Valga road (Road no. 67), 30 km from Võru, turn left at the Matsi junction (when coming from Valga, turn right 50 km from Valga, follow the sign “RMK Pähni looduskeskus 6”). Drive 6 km to Pähni village. At Pähni Nature Centre turn right before the Pähni stream (follow the sign “Pähni metsaonn”). After 100 m turn left between the spruce hedge and you’ll arrive at the forest hut.
