Penijõe campfire site

Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
Please note that due to a major event taking place from 6 August at 16:00 until 7 August 2026 at 21:00, visits to the visitor centre and the use of the Penijõe campfire site may be disrupted. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
The campfire site is located near Matsalu National Park Visitor Centre, it is the starting point of RMK Penijõe-Aegviidu-Kauksi Hiking Route. Surrounded by bird song in spring and negboured by the couple of storks.
