Sakala Road hiking trail (12 km)
Foot-and-mouth, a severe animal disease, is currently circulating in Europe and also poses a threat to animals in Estonia. Your help is needed to prevent animals here – sheep, cattle, goats, and other ungulates – from becoming infected. We ask that you please follow some important recommendations.
This 12 km trail is intended for a longer hike. There are nice campfire sites along the trail for camping and also Saeveski forest hut, where hikers can find shelter in bad weather. The trail can be completed on foot and by bicycle. When planning the hike, it is reasonable to organise transport at the other end of the trail. Different events are organised on the trail. The longest tradition is the Sakala Road Hiking Day, which is held in March.
