Sõnajala campfire site
The Agriculture and Food Board warns about the spread of avian influenza. Please stay away from dead birds outdoors and ensure that your pets do not come into contact with them.
NB! If you find a dead bird, do not touch it or move it anywhere! Please report it to the Agriculture and Food Board by calling 605 4767 or 1247.
A nice rest stop for hikers at the Sõnajala sandstone outcrop. A wonderful view on the Ahja river.
Hiking options
The campfire site is located on the Kiidjärve-Taevaskoja-Kiidjärve hiking trail and Peraküla-Aegviidu-Ähijärve hiking route. On the opposite side of the river is Roiupalu study trail.

Information board, covered fireplace, table with a shelter, benches, woodshed, dry toilet, railings over steep slopes

Maximum number of tents (for 4) allowed is 5.
Water
The closest place you can get drinkingwater is RMK Kiidjärve Visitor Centre (ca 0,65 km from here) during its opening hours.

Parking area for 10 cars
Additional information
Nearby is the memorial to the Estonian partisans of the Second World War.
