Viidumäe study trail (3,3 km)
The Viidumäe heritage culture trail runs around the forested Raunamägi hill, which is the highest and oldest area in Saaremaa. Historically, the area of Viidumäe was used by the state manors of the parish, while the forests belonged to the state. The Viidumäe heritage culture trail offers the opportunity to explore the heritage culture found in the forests of Audaku, such as the resin taps on trees that resemble fish tails, as well as traces of historical forest management, while also gaining an understanding of the role humans have played in the development of the local forests and the nature conservation area. The Rauna observation tower and the leprosarium of Audaku are located along the trail. The Viidumäe heritage culture trail is 3.3 km long and can be found in nature by looking out for the blue markers.
