Viimsi Visitor Center

The Viimsi Visitor Centre, which is the centre of the recreation area around Tallinn, is located in a renovated manor-era cattle-shed. The permanent exhibition ‘Power in the Forest!’ welcomes visitors of all ages to find their forest power by touching, watching, exploring, and working things out.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, we offer nature study programmes, thematic study days, and public events for both children and adults, as well as introducing opportunities for forest holidays all over Estonia.

  • watch nature films and play thematic games; possible to rent the rooms of the visitor centre for nature events: the hall for up to 3 hours - 15 EUR/ per hour, 100 EUR for the whole day

Wheelchair Accessibility

The first floor of the visitor centre is accessible by wheelchair, there is an invacare toilet

Sights

The visitor centre is located in the Surroundings of Tallinn Recreation area, with the Viimsi Open Air Museum and the Museum of Coastal Folk nearby. Also Haabneeme beach is worth a visit.

Additional Information

The aim of the Visitor Centre is to bring the city person closer to the forest and nature, to provide nature education, share information materials and information on the possibilities of forest vacation. The Visitor Centre organises educational tours and events for kindergartens and schools, as well as for all those interested. The main emphasis of the provided study programmes is introducing wildlife on the outskirts.

Those who arrive by public transport should take bus route 1A to the final stop “Viimsi keskus” and there board the Viimsi bus route V1, get off at the “Meremärgi” bus stop.
