Snowshoes are an excellent way for exploring the natural landscape of Lahemaa, helping you to discover nature’s hidden wonders. With a pair of snowshoes on your feet, you can also reach places where there are no roads of any kind – a snowy forest destination, the ice-covered sea, or the springy surface of the bog.

With an experienced guide, you can hike safely in the bog, where the standard boardwalks and well-worn paths do not reach.

However, for thrill-seekers, we recommend hiking with headlamps in the evening darkness, when the darkening forest seems mystical and mysterious, and your senses sharpen.

The hike is also suitable for participants who have never walked with snowshoes before. Before going to the forest, the guide introduces the basics of moving about on snowshoes.

The forest at night is mysterious and mystical, and when you are there, all of your senses sharpen. Only a brave few go hiking in the forest at night.

We invite you to an exciting adventure in the primeval forests of Lahemaa! We listen to the sounds of the night, the smells of the forest begin to tell their story, and we look for signs of nocturnal animal activity. The trip can be made either at nightfall or just before dawn, when the forest begins to echo with the singing of waking birds. Experienced tour guides guarantee the safety of the excursion.

The price includes the tour guide’s fee and gear. The offer does not include transport from Sagadi Manor to the starting point of the trip or back to the manor.

With him, you can wander along forest trails and study the signs of nature: whose paws have left marks on the snow, whose nails have scratched the bark of the tree, who is rustling in the bushes or shrieking from the treetops.

Based on his knowledge and experience, the sounds and smells of the forest tell their story. Even the silence of the forest becomes revealing!
