The visitor center of Alutaguse National Park is located in village Kauksi which is with a long tradition of beach holidays in Ida-Viru County. The visitor center is like the southern gate of Alutaguse National Park, where before an adventurous trip, you can get acquainted with the values ​​and opportunities of visiting the national park. The visitor center complex consists of several buildings and in two of them it is possible to get acquainted with permanent exhibitions - "Treasures of Alutaguse National Park" and "Landscapes of Ida-Viru County."
Only a 300-meter walk from the visitor center through the coastal pine forest opens to the picturesque Lake Peipsi with its sunny sandy beach and continental dunes.

Parking area next to the visitor center for 10 cars or 2 big buses.

  •  "Landscapes of Ida-Viru County", which also introduces renewable and non-renewable natural resources.
  • Information point where you can get information about Alutaguse National Park, recreation opportunities on the northern shore of Lake Peipsi and other RMK recreation areas, hiking trails and protected areas.
  • There are 5 illuminated information boards in the yard, which introduce the recreation possibilities of Alutaguse National Park and the recreation area on the northern shore of Lake Peipsi. In addition, you can get an overview of Estonian national parks and RMK's hiking network.
  • We offer discount programs in Estonian and Russian for schools and kindergartens in winter, spring and autumn.
  • Paid nature education programs all year round.

  • Rooms for rent for nature-themed events, accommodation for up to 23 people 105 EUR, with sauna 132 EUR

Wheelchair Accessibility

The ground floors of both buildings are wheelchair accessible. Inva WC is in the same buiding with the information point, a ramp.
